Montage

For my montages I decided to keep them very minimal and focus on one main image in each, making them more conceptual. I decided to choose the future theme and looked at how we as a society are becoming like consumer clones and are losing any individual identity, as the media is making our decisions for us.
I showed this through making the people within the montages faceless, so you only see the back of their heads. This makes them seem very eerie and unsettling, which is the feeling I wanted to evoke to make people see that this is slowly becoming the reality and it isn't one we want to embrace.

Xerox Art

For these I explored capturing movement on the photocopier. I decided to use my own hand as I felt I could get a range of movement using one object and this would allow me to be creative to see how many different forms of movement I could produce with my hand.

Pinhole

For these I took a few photos using a pinole camera I made out of a showbox. The first few didn't work as i didn't have enough light reaching the photographic paper, but after I started looking at areas with a lot of light I achieved some really good results.

Photograms

For these we used the light of the enlarger to expose objects on the photographic paper.
i experimented with using materials of different transparency and layering them to show how the different tranparencys reacted with each other.
I also tried one photogram using the light from my mobile phone to get a softer image and a more abstract view of the object.

Colour, Light, Form, Space

For this project, I explored the use of colour in my own home, and how the colour of each room changed the mood and feeling within it.
Within each photo I tried to get the colour of the wall and the objects on it to match, to give the impression that that room is purely that colour throughout.
